Pumpkin Picking - SplitScreen Game
The premise of "Pumpkin Picking" was first and foremost a game I wanted to make catered towards my girlfriend, her interests, and skill set. I know I had to make a two player game that I had never done before, so the main gameplay I wanted to keep simple. The players run around finding and picking up hidden jack-o'-lanterns around the map. While also listening in on the story of this supposed couple (us) and their tales of fall and the pumpkin patch. One of the solutions to the obstacle of having to find the jack-o'-lanterns is, when close enough, the player's controller will vibrate and hypothetically the screen will shake. Helping them better locate the items. It simple, but created with love and attention to detail.
The assets taken from the Unreal Marketplace were mainly the Assetville Town used for the general environment and buildings of the map, as well as other items from the Synty Polygon Series for the main house and its interior. I also used assets from the Low Poly Nature for some of the flowers and other small plants.
